Find Uintah County Jail Releases

To find someone released from Uintah County Jail, start with the county authority that recorded the custody event. Uintah County does not publish an official online jail roster or recent-release feed, so a missing web result cannot establish release. The sound path combines direct jail confirmation, a matched custody notification, the court record, and a focused request for the jail’s existing release or transfer record. Those sources answer different questions. They also help distinguish a return to the community from a move into state, federal, immigration, or another local authority’s custody.

Uintah County Jail Release Paths

A Uintah County Jail booking can end in several ways. Bond, dismissal, a court release order, time served, or completion of a definite jail sentence may lead to the community. Yet the end of this jail’s custody can also be a transfer. The receiving authority could be the Utah Department of Corrections, another county, the U.S. Marshals Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or a treatment or correctional placement. The recorded disposition and destination are therefore central facts. “No longer at the jail” is narrower than “free from custody.”

Three events should be kept separate. A court or bond process may first authorize release. Staff must then clear any holds and complete the facility’s administrative work. Last, the jail records the physical exit or transfer. A court docket can explain legal authority, but it does not give the exact door time. VINE may send a prompt alert, but that alert is not a certified record. The jail’s executed custody-event record is the best ordinary source for the date, time, disposition, and receiving authority that the system actually maintained.

Uintah Jail Has No Release Feed

The reviewed official Uintah County Jail page lists basic facility information and links for Securus communication and Inmate Canteen. It does not expose a current roster, archived inmate page, booking-photo list, or recent-release tab. The Sheriff, county forms, and navigation pages also yielded no official 24-hour or 72-hour feed. There is no supported update cadence, retention period, or web field list to quote.

This negative finding changes the search method. Do not infer that someone was released because a commercial result disappeared, and do not treat a third-party roster as county policy. For one person, call the jail with enough identifying detail to avoid a name-only mismatch. For a written result, ask the Sheriff for an existing custody-event or release record. If the need concerns a time window, state precise beginning and ending timestamps and ask whether an existing release log or report covers them. The Sheriff need not create a new analysis merely because a requester asks for one.

Important: Uintah County’s official pages do not provide a public roster from which a released person can be tracked.

Confirm a Uintah Jail Release

Use an authority-first sequence. It reduces false matches and preserves the difference between an order, a notification, and the actual custody event. The broader Uintah County released-inmate search explains how the same systems fit together across county, state, and federal custody.

  1. Call the Uintah County Jail at 435-781-1300. Give the full name and another useful identifier, then ask whether the person remains confined, was released, or was transferred.
  2. Search the exact person through VINELink after choosing Utah. Read “release” and “transfer” wording literally.
  3. Use Utah Courts Xchange or the correct clerk to find the order, disposition, sentence, or other legal event.
  4. Submit the Sheriff GRAMA form when an existing written record is needed.
  5. If the record names another authority, continue with that agency. Do not stop at the end of Uintah custody.

Match identities with care. A date of birth, booking number, or court case number can separate people with similar names. Preserve the exact status wording and the date on which it was checked. If sources conflict, build a short timeline. A judge may have entered an order before jail processing finished, while VINE may have reported a transfer shortly after the local booking ended.

Uintah Jail Release Records

A useful request asks for records the Sheriff already keeps. Identify the person, approximate booking episode, and a narrow date range. Request the public portions of the booking and custody-event record, including the booking identifier, admission date and time, actual release or transfer date and time, recorded disposition, and receiving agency or destination if maintained. Those fields are not guaranteed to exist or be public. This phrasing helps the records officer locate the episode without being asked to investigate or write a new narrative.

Uintah County says the charge depends on preparation time, payment must be accepted before records are released, and the Sheriff has ten business days to reply. That is response guidance, not a promise of production. Under Utah GRAMA section 63G-2-204, an agency can grant or deny a request, identify another likely record holder, or cite extraordinary circumstances. A denial should describe what was withheld, identify its legal basis, and explain the administrative appeal route.

Uintah Jail Contact and Records

The adult county jail is operated by the Uintah County Sheriff in the Public Safety Complex. Its main number is the immediate route for a one-person custody question. Records questions use a separate Sheriff contact. The official pages do not supply public lobby hours for the jail, so none should be assumed.

The jail and Vernal Justice Court share the same street address but are different offices. The court handles class B and C misdemeanors, ordinances, and infractions. Felonies and class A misdemeanors proceed in district court. Contacting the right clerk can explain the order behind a release, while the jail remains the source for physical processing.

Uintah Jail ICE Release Transfers

An ICE detainer makes destination especially important. ICE describes a detainer as a request that a jail notify the agency and maintain custody for up to 48 hours beyond the point when the person would otherwise be released, allowing ICE to assume custody. If the Uintah County Jail records an ICE transfer, the person did not enter the community when county custody ended. The event is a transfer between authorities.

No current ICE facility listing or confirmed Uintah contract appeared in the reviewed official sources. That does not rule out a specific detainer. Ask the jail for the receiving agency and destination, then use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. ODLS covers current detainees and some people released from ICE custody within about 60 days, subject to exact-match rules, delays, and exclusions. A failed locator search may require contact with Enforcement and Removal Operations. The ODLS recent-release window refers to release from ICE, not release from Uintah County.

Note: ICE does not display people under 18 in ODLS, and a missed match alone does not resolve custody.

Read Uintah Jail Release Evidence

Each source proves a limited fact. The court record shows what a judge ordered. The jail record shows what staff executed. VINE supplies a timely status event, which may be release or transfer. UDC confirms state custody or supervision only when a state commitment exists. A federal system applies only to its own authority. Keeping those limits intact prevents a common error: turning the end of one agency’s custody into a claim that no agency holds or supervises the person.

Release
The recorded end of this facility’s custody, which may lead to the community or another authority.
Transfer
A move in which another facility or agency assumes custody.
Disposition
The facility’s recorded type or reason for the custody event.
Detainer
A request by another authority for notice or temporary continued custody.

For an exact physical exit, give the most weight to the executed release or movement record. Use a court order to explain authorization, not as a substitute for processing. Treat VINE as a prompt to verify. If the record says the person transferred, follow the destination until the responsible authority supplies a current or final status.
